Description for Lincoln Continental 1960

GREAT CAR WITH A LOW LOW RESERVE, OES TO HIGHEST BIDDER!THERE ARE A COUPLE OF THINGS I LIKE TO SAY UP FRONT. FIRSTLYonce the car is paid forIN FULLit can sit warm and dry in my warehouse for up to 30 days.SECONDLYtheONLYforms of payment i will accept are either a bank to bank wire transfer or cash in person at pick up. FULL PAYMENT IN 7 DAYS. i repeat the car MUST be fully paid for WITHIN 7 DAYS OF THE AUCTION CLOSING. i cannot concern myself with where you live or what shipping will cost you or anything regarding your schedule or if your wife will allow you to buy it et cetera. if you can`t pay for the car IN FULL WITHIN 7 DAYS then simply do not bid.now thats out of the way lets get on with this really cool car whichis definitely not my usual thing. I am a rolls royce and bentley parts dealer. what i know about these kinds of cars you could write on a postage stamp. so if you have read this far i am SURE you know more than i do about the car. i recently bought a small collection of cars from a deceased gentleman`s estate and have decided to sell off what i really have no need of, his grand old lady is one of them. the old car justRUNS GREATand starts very easily hot or cold and she has her original keys from 1960. the big Lincoln 430 V8 runs as strong and as sweet as you please with awesome low down power. the old girl has hardly been driven for about four years and the brake pedal is very hard and the exhaust is quite loud. right now you can drive her around the yard or maybe up onto a trailer, hough you would be far safer winching in my opinion. the transmission drops straight into gear without any hesitation whatsoever. there is a lot of stale gas in the tank so we have the engine running off of a jug under the hood. the coolant had good antifreeze in it when i got the car and all the fluid levels, ngine, rans, /S fluid and coolant were up.the previous owner died very unexpectedly in 2011 and the car just sat and sat along with all his other cars and various property until his estate was settled. the odometer reads 57,474 which i am absolutely certain is correct. the title from 2008 shows a mileage of 56,819 ACTUAL MILES.for a car this old it seems to have a lot of power options to me. power steering and brakes. the power seat works great, he power windows TRY to work and i am sure some cleaning and lubricating will fix them. i can`t a peep out of the town & country radio or power door locks but maybe i am doing something wrong. all the lights and turn signals work. i am pretty sure she has a power antenna but i can`t find a button for it, t does not want to pull up by hand i do know that much.the car wears its original paint which is faded in several spots but may well buff out. the interior is generally VERY good as you can see. there is one big tear in the headliner and a little shrinkage on the dash pad. the car isVERY VERY SOLID. the floor pans, loor braces and trunk floor are 99% perfect while the outer body has only a tiny bit of spotting down low. what does seem very odd to me is the rust through on the front lip of the hood when the rest of the car is so solid. there is a crease in the drivers door. see picture`s. the hood hinges are off the car at the moment, ne is bent though i am sure it could be straightened. if you want any close up pictures of any particular area of the car just email me and i will take whatever you need. you can reach me or text on eight six four six one seven one five nine six until ten at night eastern standard time. i am happy to accommodate and encourage any inspection you like. i will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the car. she is also for sale on the local craigs list.all the glass is EXCELLENT which means a lot on one of the these old girls. the dash pad has a few wrinkles and there is a tear in the left rear of the headliner as you can see in the pictures. the car has decent carpets that need a good clean and the interior chrome is all very nice, here is a LOT of it!! I really do not think it will take much to get her back on the road again!there is no cylinder in the trunk lock so you have to open it with a screw driver though i do have what i think is the original trunk key. the right door does not want to lock properly, gain its a minor thing but i want to mention it. the car has its original jack, pare tire and so on in the trunk. exporting the car oversea`s is no problem at all, have done it many times before.to sum up this old girl needs to have the brakes and fuel system gone through to be drivable on the open road again. yes you can drive it up onto a trailer but you would certainly not want to drive it home. though i do know a local guy who is a very good mechanic and he can fix anything that needs attention to make the car a reliable driver. she is very solid and one of the most important things as far as i am concerned is that she is all original and unmolested. something else thats a minor detail but very cool is the selling dealer`s plate on the trunk panel that reads LINCOLN-MERCURY-EDSEL.the car is located inGREENVILLE SOUTH CAROLINA, ip code 29609. that is all the information you need to get a quote to move the car anywhere in the world. please don`t ask me to get shipping quotes. i have a clean title along with the deceased prior owners probate and death certificates and an SC DMV certified bill of sale signed by the executor of the estate. titling in any state or exporting the car will not be any problem at all. PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON ASI WILL SOON BE LISTING A1958 CHRYSLER SARATOGA4 DOOR HARDTOP AND A1961 IMPERIAL 4 DOORHARDTOP.
