Description for Lincoln Continental 1963
An American icon, this beautiful example of sixties automobile manufacturing exemplifies the refinements of the era. Built with all the craftsmanship that the Lincoln design team had to offer, the solid block styling, suicide doors, see-through wind screen and the massive 430 cubic inch Lincoln-Mercury engine made this Lincoln Continental convertible the favorite of many. Movie stars, business tycoons and even presidents made this model their preferred mode of ground transportation. The understated design won a Museum of Modern Art award. Arguably the smoothest riding luxury car of its day it also had what few other convertibles could boast - 4 doors. This particular car is not without blemishes but the trivial nature of the flaws actually show how much care went into the engineering of this vehicle. Driven from Florida to it’s home in Tucson, the engine and transmission reflect the quality put into this car. The engines were run for three hours and then road tested prior to shipment to the dealers. This vehicle was put together when they still built cars out of metal, and lots of it. Don't miss this one!! It has the potential to bring home some trophies or simply be one of the most comfortable cruisers around! If you are cruising or just collecting, the mechanical condition of this car leaves nothing to be desired. The reconditioning shown on the included paperwork and its lower than the actual restoration price for a vehicle of this caliber, makes it a perfect choice for getting into the classic car market either as an investment opportunity or daily driver. If you've wanted a beautiful and stylish luxury car with all the glitz and style it was born of and at an affordable price this is the one!On Sep-28-17 at 14:23:05 PDT, seller added the following information:
