Description for Lincoln Continental 1963
I have decided to sell a few cars from my small collection. This 63 sedan has had one repaint 15 years ago in the original Bermuda Blue Metallic. The interior is the 100% original Light Blue Silver Pattern Broadcloth and Light Blue-Diamond Luster Crinkle Leather. The engine compartment was also repainted 15 years ago. The engine front and rear oil seals were replaced along with the expansion plugs. timing chain and gears. The engine heads were removed and had hardened valve seats installed for unleaded fuel. I recently installed new radiator and heater hoses and had the original 3 port fuel pump rebuilt. I have owned this car for 13 years and traveled many trouble free miles during that time. It runs drives and shifts perfectly. Newly installed aluminized exhaust system from manifolds back. Brand new American Classic 235/75/14 radials with correct (for 63) whitewalls from Coker tire. Original wheels and hubcaps. All windows. including power vents. work perfectly with the exception of the drivers window which is slow. Six way power seat operates perfectly. Radio and antenna work properly. Differential was rebuilt because it had a very slight rumble. It is silent now. There are absolutely no rattles in this car. I am the third owner and the mileage is believed to be actual because of the condition of the interior. the strength of the engine and the minimal wear on the pedals. There was a 63 sedan advertised a few weeks ago as low mileage but the front seat had been recovered in the incorrect material which does not seen reasonable. I have owned early sixties Lincoln Continentals for 40 years and this is one of the finest examples available anywhere at any price. Negatives: The clock does not work but may be an easy repair. The drivers carpet shows some wear because the original owner did not use floor mats. Have original title from 1963. original owners manual and all maintenance paperwork since 2002. The cost to restore a good sedan to this condition is through the roof. This car is exceptionally nice and has no maintenance or appearance issues.
