Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is an uncommonly clean 1990 Mercedes-Benz 420 SEL with just 90k original miles. This W126 is from a time when a Mercedes-Benz was made to a standard, ot a price. It's ironic that their current slogan is "the best or nothing"...I suppose now they have to advertise their quality. Back then, heir cars simply spoke for themselves. If you've never owned one of these, o find one and kindly ask the owner if you can open and close one of his doors so you can feel what a well made car feels like. I would rate the exterior of this Merc to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. Walking around and sitting in this car, t's hard to believe that she's 25. I won't go as far as to say that the exterior is flawless, s this is an old car. However, ou'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about. There are a few marks on the rear bumper...but I'm just being picky. This car is in exceptional condition for its age. There are no prominent scratches, ents, ings or chips to disclose on the exterior...just nice smooth bodywork. The classic white finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. The gray lower body cladding matches the gray interior and shows well. The body lines are as straight as an arrow and all of the panel gaps are correct. The hood, oors and trunk all open and close easily...and with the classic "thunk" you expect from a Mercedes-Benz of this era. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with deep tread all around. Pride in ownership shows throughout this 420SEL. Please take your time and check out each of the 90 high quality photos carefully to see how exceptional this car looks inside and out.

I would also rate the interior of this Mercedes to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The wood interior veneers show well and are all firmly intact with just normal wear showing on the center console veneer. The dash and headliner are spotless. The rear deck shows very well and indicates that this 420SEL has spent most of her life hidden away in a garage. The carpets are thick and full looking throughout the interior. A full set of original Mercedes-Benz floor mats are included. The power windows, eats, irrors, unroof and central locks all appear to be working properly. The sunroof could use aligned and lubricated as the LR corner sticks a little. A full set of books and records as well as the original first aid kit. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works properly but the air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold air. The original Becker Grand Prix stereo appears to be in good condition. The antenna doesn't go up so reception isn't the best...but it works, hich is better than most old Beckers. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Again, ride in ownership shows throughout this Mercedes.

Mechanically, his Mercedes appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.2L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent, s a full sized Mercedes-Benz should be. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. The brakes and steering feel great. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. There have been no idiot lights on. The engine makes great power and feels as smooth as silk. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, he drives nice and straight with absolutely no issues. You can fly in and drive this gorgeous Benz anywhere. If you've been looking for a clean, lassic Mercedes sedan...this 420 SEL definitely deserves your serious consideration.
