Here is a Really Cool Euro Model/ Grey Market 1979 Mercedes Benz 280SLC With AMG Kit with 4-Speed Manual Transmission With 46k Miles!
This is a great running daily driven restoration project car that does need a little work with cosemtics to be pristine but runs perfectly.
This is a Grey Market Car that was specially ordered and shipped from Germany.
The beautiful shiny baby blue paint looks pretty good with some scratches and scuffs but still very clean for its year. I do believe that the whole car has been resprayed sometime of its life. The clear coat is in great condition no peeling anywhere. There is some rust of the body as it is a car from Europe. The body on this car looks so cool with the Euro Bumpers and the AMG kit just makes it look even more so cool. It gives it more character and does make it stand out a little more than the others. All of the Chrome is in Great Shape and shines beautifully in the sun but can be redone to be perfect. The bbs wheels are in original condition with no cracks or bends but can be repainted and cleaned up for a perfect look. The miles on the car show 46k but unfortunately the odometer has stopped working about 3 years ago you can check all the smog checks to check the mileage consistency.
The Euro Cloth Interior will need to be done at some point but the seats still have lots of cushion and spring left in them. The carpet is pretty clean, there are a couple of stains that will clean up with a good shampooing. There is not much fading, the clothe has just worn out after sitting. It is mostly the front seats that are torn, the back seats look good, but the top of it is dry and split from where the sun hits it thru the back window.This rare car also still has its original am/fm/cassette radio which is still functioning.
This is a very rare european modelMercedesthat comes with a 4-speed manual transmission most of these SLC Mercedes coupes came automatic making the manual ones very rare and desirable.
