This is a lovely original California 1980 450 SL (last year of the 450 in 107 body) with149,184 original miles. The car starts right up and runs extremely well. It is a California car since new. The paint finish on the SL has a brilliant shine and looks amazing! There are minimal nicks, chips, dings, etc. No major imperfections, previous accidents or dents. The body and chassis are 100% rust free since new.
Mechanically the car is in superb condition. All electrical mechanical and climate control systems are in proper working order. The brakes, steering and suspension are in tip top condition. Power windows and other options work. All gagesare in good working order and all show normal readings.
The interior is excellent! The dash is near perfect with only a couple minor flaws (see pics)the carpeting, door panels, and soft top are all in good original condition.
The interior wood accents are in nice original condition. There is a very minor wood chip on the center console (see pic).All of the chrome, aluminum trim and weather stripping are in good shape.
The engine compartment is tidy and all the hoses and belts are well sorted. Classic matching MBZ hubcaps. New tires are recommended soon.
This is a very attractive-solid original rust free California car that can be enjoyed as an everyday driver or Sunday cruiser. Either way the new owner will be impressed with it's overall mechanical and cosmetic condition. This SL is gorgeous and looks like a million dollars!
