Description for Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 1969
THIS VEHICLE SELLS NO RESERVEThis is a 1969 Mercedes Benz 280SE located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It's life here has always been in a heated garage. It was purchased on Ebay on February 22, 2014, with 73,497 out of California and was immediately taken to Werner's Garage, Inc for a complete mechanical overhaul to the tune of $10,760.29 was completed.
The car was likely the product of an estate sale as an email chain (included) documents the previous owners attempts to get as much as possible for the vehicle. At that time, the car was no in its current condition and the owner released the car to be sold for $10,000
The care is in excellent condition other than a missing original stereo. I do have copies of the paperwork from the previous sell and the work performed at Werner's Garage, Inc.
You can go to wernersgarage.com to check them out.
This is the last of the high grill coupes and the previous owner installed new wood, seats, doors, dash, carpet and chrome.
The car drives and runs as it should.
It comes with previous service records:1) Mohay's Auto, Wilmington, California $2,949 (rebuilt motor)2) Mike's Foreign Car Service, Hermosa Beach, California $2,932.32 (tune up, engine mounts, shock tune, power steering seal)3) Mikes (above) $1,230.09 (tune up, front control arm)4) Mike's (above) $1,024.93 (head and valve job, new center link)5) Coastline Auto Body, Redondo Beach, California $5,923.12 (body work and primer paint)
Upon it's arrival to Fort Wayne, local German car legends, Warner's Garage undertook a project to go through the entire vehicle. A 5 page invoice will be included with the vehicle.

$10,760.29 recently invested into this car. Since completion, it has staying in the heated (radiant) garage and has not been driven. Current owner is a local attorney (see closed files in the pictures) and is type A. A rare breed who gets pleasure out of owning a classic car. A meticulous man, who instilled in his son (the guy listing the vehicle) that "if you are going to do anything, do it right the first time". THIS CAR WAS DONE RIGHT!!!
