1992 Mercedes Benz R129 500 SL Red Convertible With Hard Top

Please read carefully: I have for sale a nice 1992 500 SL R 129! It has been repainted in LeMans Red. with beige interior and black dash. The convertible top is black. It come with the hard top as well! The mileage is unknown. but the engine runs strong and the transmission shifts properly! I purchased the car from a neighbor about a year and a half ago. It had sat for quite some time. The odometer stopped at 109XXX. and I have put about 5000 miles on it since I've had it. He was the second owner and I am the third. Since I got the car I've done the following:New plugs and points. new struts. brakes pads. pedal sensor. frequent oil changes. headliner and paint. I am not a mechanic. so I can only tell you what I know as follows: The a/c doesn't work. The dealer said it needs a compressor or clutch. I purchased a brand new compressor with clutch. (not used or rebuilt. but new). It is included with the purchase! I noticed recently that the rear was a bit bouncy. The convertible top has some tears. and the inside liner has holes. The rear view mirror is loose. but works. The windshield washer pump works. but was disconnected because of a leak in the hose which caused the light to stay on on the dash. and washer fluid to leak. The hose is an easy fix and the pump can be reconnected. The rear 500 SL emblem is missing. I have the new one and am including it with the car! The antenna is broken. I am including a replacement with the car. As I said. the car runs nicely! I drove it just about every day before parking it to sell. I would feel comfortable driving it just about anywhere! That said. it is a 23 year old car and is in need of some work. It will be an antique soon and with a couple thousand dollars could be restored and sold for much. much. more! The car comes with a clear title in hand. and is being sold as-is. where-is with no warranty written or implied. Buyer is responsible for arranging transportation of the vehicle once payment is received. A deposit of $500 is required at the end of the auction.
