Description for Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 1980

This car has been parked for about 2 years but started up with no problems when I jump started it a couple of weeks ago. I drove it about 30 miles to my Dads house with no problems although I noticed its slower than it used to be which I believe is because its been sitting so long. With a little tune up this could be your daily driver or keep it for occasional drives while it goes up in value. It has less than 116000 miles body is not bad with hardly any rust showing. interior also showing no tear and minimal wear on leather seats (please see pictures) it was rubber coated underneath so should remain as it is for a long time.

As you can see in picture the car looks nice from a few a feet but is by no means perfect. There is a spot of rust on driver side fender. I had a quick look under the car frame looks solid and I could not see any rust. It has had a respray in the past and original brown color is visible in a few hidden areas also a bit of overspray. The driver seat has two small wear marks on back rest of driver seat and the roof liner has a little tear which I have tried to show in pictures. The carpet inside is in very good if not excellent condition.

The car sometimes does not turn off on the key and you have to push the "stop" lever on the motor to stop it. I tried it a couple of times and it did the same. I have been told its a common fault and that its due to a vacuum leak.

Registration was out in December 2013 so DMV fees will apply if registered in California. Pink slip and owners manual for the car is available. Please ask questions or view the car before end of auction. We need the car to go as we need the space and could use the cash so please only bid if you are able to complete the transaction within 3 days of auction end and pay a $300 deposit within 24 hours after auction ends.

The car is has been parked outside for a couple of weeks under a tree with lots of birds in it and I usually don't leave cars there for a long time due to their droppings but when I tried to put it back in the garage the battery was too weak to start it and I was in a hurry to catch a flight. This is the reason there is no reserve on this car as it would be covered up by the time I return and I have no one to jump start it and put it back in. Please bear in mind that the car will need to be jump started and even though we have jump leads the winner will have to use it as my Dad has not been too well.
