Description for Mercury NAPCO short school bus 1960
RARE 1960 Mercury NAPCO 4x4 3 window short school bus, 've never seen another Mercury bus on top of the fact, eing a short 4wheel drive one. This bus is super rare, n just might be the only one in existence, n 1960 this Mercury bus was built with the NAPCO power pak option, nbsp;heavy duty NAPCO axles, ift leaf springs, ivorced transfer case, WHEEL DRIVE, his is not some put together bus, his Mercury was built new this way to get some kids to school no matter the circumstances!! The bus is school bus yellow underneath the blue paint that someone has added later, ou will see the NAPCO power pak badges on the fenders, he body of bus is a bluebird, hich I believe were built in Canada, his bus is massive in its stance, t has 20" wheels on it an the tires measure around 38", t's hard to tell its scale from the pictures, ut I've tried posting a couple with big an small vehicles around it, he ford beside it in one picture has a 18" lift an is on 46" tires, he bus measures only 20 ft in overall length, n is about 96" wide, nd around 9ft total height. To have an idea of the scale of the size of this thing, he bottom of the body measures 32" off ground, n bottom of fender wheel arch is around 46.5" Bus body has some rust through on back corners, n inside on floor when u open back door, lso small spot on side steps in entrance, oes have side door an mechanism that opens an closes, back windows gone, he bus has the wrong hood on it, t's off a 58 ford I believe, 59-60 ford hood would work, he motor an transmission are gone, believe it had a 460 in it, t does still have the divorced transfer case with a high an low, n all the drive shafts hooked up, he transfer case has a drive shaft that runs it so looks like you could almost mount any motor tranny combination up to it, he front axle cover has a hole pocked in it from tractor trying to move bus, ould be taken off an welded back up, us rolls an tires all hold air, teers really easy, o title, do have registration papers to the woman that owned it last, ut she had lost title, ill be sold with those an bill of sale, ere's your chance to own a piece of history, hat would get a ton of attention, ou can't miss it lol.. No reserve auction, igh bidder wins, 500 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction end, emainder of payment due 3 days of auction end, uyer responsible for pickup or shipping, do have a shipper that I use that could maybe help you get it where u need it to go, ny question please call or text 903-219-7412, hanks and happy bidding!!
