You are viewing a very rare 1960 MGA 1600 Roadster "garage find" example. Being offered due to recent loss of storage space. Being offered at "No Reserve". Drive "as is" or do a full restoration. Vin #: GHNL 78138Engine : 16AC-N-L-15898Color: White (Originally red)Title: Clear "Maryland" TitleMileage: 13. 11 (believed to be 113K) I will be adding more pictures within the next few days. Please note that there are several pictures where the hood is not fully latched. The MG has been garage stored and enthusiast owned for many years. It was used as a weekend driver until a few years ago when another British car took it's place. Has "Sebring" style front panel. It is currently in running condition and could be used as is or do a full restoration. As noted. it is the 1600 model which is considered more collectible than the 1500 series. Being offered at "No Reserve" and an excellent opportunity for the MGA enthusiast with a limited budget. The body is pretty solid with evidence of an older body restoration that is showing it's age. The MG had a "Sebring" style front valence installed which gives it the racing look from back in the day. The MG's color was changed at that time from Red to white and the fender piping was eliminated - There are some stress cracks as well. Although the exterior of the body doesn't show any rust. the MG does have the typical MGA rust. There is rocker panel rust on the inner portion of the panels and portions of the floor board rail and other misc areas. The trunk was repaired with fiberglass as noted in the trunk picture. The MG did not come with a spare tire. and the cover between the trunk and cockpit was removed. Battery relocated to the trunk - one of the battery boxes is partially gone. The wood floors were replaced at some point with home made plywood panels - not the best. but has served it's purpose over the years The paint is old and has many spots that are chipped/cracked and/or touched up. Rear bumper is in good original condition. Grill is in nice shape. The MGA is in running condition and as noted had been used as a weekend driver up until a few years ago. As shown in the pictures. the engine is very clean and looks to have been well maintained. It will start easily at the pull of the choke in the warmer weather. however with the cold weather. it's been taking a shot of starting fluid to get it fired up. The carbs will need to be cleaned as well as other typical items you would want to go through on a car that's been sitting. There is a brand new full exhaust system. Has 4 new tires mounted on the original wheels. Several of the gauges are not working including the tachometer (needle fell off). oil pressure gauge & speedometer. Headlights. blinkers and parking lights are all in working condition. Brakes seem to work ok. but will need to be bled. Will need other mechanical sorting to be roadworthy due to it being a 55 year old sports car. Original air cleaners are not shown. but included in the sale. The interior is in presentable condition. There are a few tears in the seats as noted in the pictures. There are no door panels. Convertible top and frame are not installed. but are included. The frame is in good condition. however the top is old. There are no side curtains. Driver's side door trim is missing as noted in the pictures. Has the original "Banjo" steering wheel. Please note that it will need a full body. mechanical and interior restoration. The MG is being sold in "as is" condition with no warranty expressed or implied.
