Description for MG Midget 1979

This is a fun little car to own. Maintenance is very little and all parts are readily available online. There are also MG clubs and forums out there to answer all your questions. Nice fun car for spring or summer. I like that I can drive it and literally park it ANYWHERE. I don't even lock it, ust jump in and go, ut I do keep it in my garage.

I kept it as a roadster as I don't like the look with the top up, ou probably agree. This car is a nice little daily driver that needs a few small things to make great.

The odometer reads 55,000, 'm just assuming it's 155,000

Comes with original owner's manual and Chilton Maintenance Book, intage Chrome side mirror, Wire Wheels, hubs and 2 rotors.

comes with the Boot cover (pictured)

Does have the convertible top frame (under boot)

Front and rear rubber bumpers are intact and in good condition

Dash is in excellent condition as are door panels.

windows roll down easy

New ignition switch

Replaced fan switch

New wiper switch

Replaced hazard switch.

seat belts are in great shape and lock in properly

4 Negotiator NS80 tires are recent

I Also have a stainless luggage rack that goes on top of the trunk,

but do not have the "feet" for it. I'll try to post a pic whenever ebay fixes the pics problem!!

CONS:

No map light

Turn signals?

Fan selector turns but not doing much

The windshield has bubbles in it

Hood has some scratches on the front that have been painted in.

2 of the wheels could use some conditioning

Convertible top frame is missing front bow but does fold up.

No vinyl top is included. They retail for about $250 if you really want to

put one on, hey install easily.

I painted it flat black

does pull to the right a little

Wiper blades need replacing

Needs a thermostat as it is causing the auto choke to stick a little.

I don't know the previous history on this car, ust what I know personally. I go through the car and do a check list of what is working or not, nd any defects. I also drive the car for a few days to see how she "feels".

Car was bought from a local gentleman and Title is in his name. IF OUT OF STATE: Check with your local DMV (before bidding) if this is OK. If your state requires a title in the seller's name (me), hen please don't bid. (unless of course you have someone here in CA to title it for you). These cars are bought at a local benefit sale where the proceeds go to good causes. Most cars come from affluent communities where the owner's buy a new vehicle and donate there "old" one for a tax write off. I've been buying cars at charity events for years and everyone makes out. I try to be as honest as possible about these cars and list what I know, ut I'm not a mechanic or body repair person. I have done this for years and everyone has been happy with the cars.
