Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this exceptionally original MG TF Roadster for straightforward restoration. This car was recently purchased from it's original owner family from new ! This highly original, matching numbers TF has never been apart for restoration and today remains very original and mostly untouched, having been re-painted and re-trimmed once in it's life.
This car still retains it's matching numbers drivetrain. The original engine turns nicely by hand and may even run with a little bit of work. The engine oil looks very clean and up to the mark. The engine is still painted the original MG Maroon. The engine compartment is very original down to it's air cleaners and original coil. The steering box feels very nice on the car.
The body on the car overall is very good to excellent, with great panel alignment. Excellent grille and nice bumpers. There's no evidence of rust or accidents.
A perfect, original, one owner, matching numbers, California car, ideal for a high-end Concours restoration. This car has remained in the same family from new and has been well-preserved for 62 years.
