1980 MGB with V6 engine

Description for MG MGB 1980

MG MGB with 3.4 V6 and 5 speed transmission. I got this car from I believe the original owner several years back. It had been in his garage and not ran for years. I got it running and drove it occasionally, but it had a severe rear main leak. The car had some minor flood damage in hurricane Harvey (got water into the floorboard area, nothing major but due to it's age the insurance totaled it. Torrential rains, not salt water) I paid the surrender fee and kept the car. (That is the reason for the salvage title) I removed the original driveline and installed a 3.4 V6 and 5 speed manual transmission from a 1994 Camaro. Aluminum custom radiator. Has Fuel injection and runs great. I installed A/C. I drove it around this morning and the A/C is apparently low on freon. I will charge it up but not sure if it's just from sitting around for a couple years or has a slow leak. It also sounds like there is a leaf stuck in the blower motor as it whines when the blower is running. Probably will go away with running the blower but want to describe everything I can. I'm not sure how accurate the fuel gauge is, I put in 5 gallons of gas and it only went to half a tank. (The factory sender float is notorious for filling up with fuel and sinking) The car is very nice mechanically and drives fine. The throw-out bearing is a little noisy, but it's been that way since installed. (I have new warranty replacement but never put it in) The seats are leather from a "stow and go" minivan. I also have the original seats from the car as well that go with it if desired. (Original vinyl seats and in need of new seat suspension straps) The car has mini lite style wheels, but I have the original steel wheels for it also. The car has a minor crease behind the right rear wheel and maybe a few dings. I took a photo of the crease. The car still has the original paint with minor surface rust in a few spots where the paint has peeled. Paint is old, faded and cracking in places but original which given the age of the car is very rare. Very solid body overall with no serious rust. Would make an easy car to restore to its original beauty. I've got an aftermarket radio that goes with it- I never put it back in but it just slides in. (My nephew had some other radio in it) I would think you could drive it home if desired. I've never driven it more than about 100 miles at a time, but it's always ran fine. My nephew drove it in high school pretty much daily 30 miles each way for a year or so. That was a couple years ago as he has since graduated and is in college. The Camaro had about 94,000 miles on it when I removed the engine and transmission so I would guess the driveline has about 120,000 miles on the driveline now. Tires in good shape, ready to drive. I installed a new fuel tank when I put the Camaro driveline in. If the car was repainted and the interior finished (carpet, etc.) it would be beautiful. I would prefer local pickup so I can go over all the details of the car with the buyer. I've also got the rostyle steel wheels with tires, seats, and other general stuff that would be worth getting if your an MG type person with other vehicles. I'm getting older and closer to retirement and trying to clean up around my shop. The car is currently registered in Texas and was inspected in March of 22. I think I've covered everything.
