Description for Nash Rambler Custom 1953
BODY: Clean original outer shell mounted on an early 1990’s S10 chassis. All floors, trunk, firewall and front inners replaced. Minor body work performed. All exterior chrome redone. Painted early 60’s Porsche wheat and tomato red. Show quality paintwork.
ENGINE: Rebuilt 406ci small block Chevy. Corvette radiator. Runs and sounds incredible.
TRANSMISSION: Rebuilt Turbo 350 transmission. Shifts great.
FRONT SUSPENSION: Chevy S10 front suspension. Rebuilt.
REAR SUSPENSION: Rebuilt Chevy S10 rear end. 3.23 axle ratio.
BRAKES: Front disc brakes. Stops great.
INTERIOR: Very clean interior in red and white. Honda Accord front bucket seats. Beautiful dash with Classic Instruments gauges. Vintage style 4 spoke steering wheel. AM/FM/CD stereo. Air conditioning by Old Air. Excellent glass. Power windows have been installed since these photos were taken. Very comfortable.
WHEELS/TIRES: Red steel wheels with trim rings and center caps. Brand new BF Goodrich radial wide whitewall tires.
OVERALL CONDITION: Great Driver that is showable in any car show.
SUMMARY: Everything on this Nash was rebuilt or replaced. All work was done by by local professionals. The car has been driven from the Bay Area to Los Angeles numerous times. This is a fun, great handling and driving car. If you want to get noticed among the sea of 1969 Camaros and 1932 Fords at the next show, this is the car for you. Fly in and drive home.
