Description for Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight 1967
Nice original numbers car owned by myself for over 20 years. Original factory air which will work if charged, but really needs to be converted to 134a. It is a town sedan but has been converted to an LS with the addition of power optons from a same year LS. Such options include power windows, power vent windows, power bench seat, additional temperature gauge, door panel lights, vacuum trunk release. It has the original cloth interior still in nice condition for the year with some light fading on the upper edge of the front seat, and has 1 tear on the passenger side in the seam about 2 inches long. The vinyl top was replaced 8 years ago but received a tear from a garage door opener which has been filled with putty too protect the steel underneath. The car drives like a dream and everything works less the a/c. There is a new stereo and power amp with passive bazooka subwoofer in the trunk. Car just needs a washing and cleaning and it is an eye catcher. The wheels are rare SSIV rally's from a 1972 Olds Delta Custom painted to match car. New lug nuts are supplied with car. Car has a new stainless exhaust system installed only a few years ago but has a steel connector pipe midway back. Rear bumper has been painted to cover sprinkle rust. There is 1 hole on the driver side end-see picture. Trunk has spare with unrelated rim and jack. 4 barrel carb operates nicely but needs a new choke heat spring and has slight hesitation from stop-needs professional rebuilding. Holly now makes a rock-4 replacement. Engine has original right and left side exhaust manifolds with the cutaway for the steering column used on 65-66 Starfires and has the copper gaskets. There is minor play in the steering but has a new center link and front end was completely rebuilt 15 years ago with only light mileage since then. Undercarriage has only light surface rust and car was garaged for first 25 years of its life. Comes with propper fitting cover. You can drive the car home, we are moving and sadly it must go. Offers accepted. Car has new battery and rear tires. Front tires are old but good.
