Description for Opel Omega 1971
Hello to all eBayers!
I have been with eBay for several years and I want to keep my reputation here 100% positive. I am a private collector, who has endless passion for classic cars and trucks. 90% of the vehicles have been rented out to movies, commercials or high-class parties. Right now, I’m liquidating my collection since I’m selling my warehouse.
Are you an old vehicles connoisseur looking for classic/vintage vehicles without having to pay luxury prices? You are in the right place! I know that magic feeling when the right quality meets the right price, so I sell my vehicles worldwide at the most reasonable prices. I bought this vehicle with the intention of bringing it to California to add to my collection.
This 1971 OPEL GT is located in a Copart facility in ELGIN IL. I tried to sell it on Copart, but this vehicle is a classic clean vehicle, and this auction yard is not the best place to sell it. This classic has a clear ILLINOIS Title. If you need to get a CA title for this vehicle, I can help you with that for an additional fee.
1971 Opel GT
TheOpel GTis a front-engine, rear-drive two-seatsports carmanufactured and marketed byOpel.
The first generation Opel GT (1968-1973) debuted as a styling exercise in 1965 at theParisandFrankfurtmotor shows. The production vehicle used mechanical components from the contemporaryOpel Kadett Band two-door hard top bodywork byFrenchcontractorBrissonneau & Lotz. The styling of the GT was often cited as similar to the1968 Chevrolet Corvettewhich went on sale in September 1967.
This vehicle was owned by a grandfather and a grandson taking turn for 20 years each. And they really did a great job in taking care of this Opel for 40 years. It has been garage-kept all this time and never seen the Illinois road salt. It was mainly driven on the weekends for grocery shopping or some summertime cruises.
Mechanical
This vehicle has 81,929 miles. The car comes with a NOS set of control arm bushings and three different Opel Clymer/Chilton manuals.
With recent work on Weber Carburetor 32/36, she’s just running great. Tires are in driving condition but I would put new tires soon. Shocks are like brand new.
Runs, drives, shifts great.
Exterior
The exterior is in a good shape and very original. Please check out the photos. The car has very little surface imperfection, but they are really minor. All glass is good.
Interior
The interior is original with only minor wear on driver’s seat as pictured which is actually not a tear but loose threading, should be an easy fix. Everything is complete on the dash.
Clean floors, door panels and headliner. Steering wheel is in great condition.
Please note, I want to make sure that you are absolutely satisfied with your purchase. Bid with confidence and if you have any questions that I might not have covered in the description, don't hesitate to ask. You can email me or send me your telephone number and I will give you a call. I have tried my best to describe this vehicle as accurately as I can. People have different opinions and expectations of older vehicles. It is your responsibility to inspect the vehicle or send a third party inspector for your satisfaction. Remember, this car is from the 1970’s and can have some imperfections that I'm not aware of.

I’m saying this because I’ve had a bad experience with a ruthless dealer that tried to extort money from me after the car was inspected and delivered!
