This is a beautiful condition 1957 Morgan +4 with the attractive and rare bustle back rear styling. It has been meticulously kept and maintained.
The car was restored around 15 years ago by a well known Ferrari expert who painted it in Ferrari fly yellow. The paint was done to a very high standard and still looks absolutely stunning. The car has been driven very sparingly since its restoration, ainly on club drives and tours and the paint still looks like new but does have a couple of very minor flaws and touch-ups. Underneath the car is very clean and tidy. The metal frame and wood floors are in excellent condition. The body and its ash wood frame are also in superb condition with no signs of previous damage or repair. The chrome is great and the glass is also excellent. Both doors fit and shut nicely without sagging.
The interior is also in great condition. It has comfortable and supportive leather super sport seats with curved backs. There is just a little wear on the drivers side seat bolster but no rips or tears. This model does not have a rear seat but there is room for luggage in the back. The wood dash is beautiful and door cards and wilton wool carpets (with morgan logo) are excellent. It has a fantastic Brooklands steering wheel. All the instruments work as do all the electrics. It has an Optima 12v Battery equipped with a battery charger/maintainer. The headlamps have been upgraded to H-4 halogens and the tail lamps are very bright LED's. The original tail lamps are included if you would prefer to return it to stock. It has a period correct after market heater under the passenger side dash that works great and has a variable speed fan. There is a fire extinguisher included mounted on the drivers side floor.
It also received a mechanical restoration and the drive train is in top condition. The engine number TS28814ME is it's original factory matching engine. It starts easy, uns excellent, as great oil pressure and tons of power. The steering and suspension are fabulous as are the brakes (discs front, rums rear). The gearbox shifts nicely through all gears. The dual S.U. carbs are in excellent tune. It has a wonderfully British sporty exhaust tone. Parts availability for these cars is very good especially since the drive train is shared with the Triumph TR-3.
The stayfast top and side curtains are in excellent shape. There is a padded and fitted bag for side curtain storage when not in use. It has a full length tonneau with zipper down the center. The wire wheels with knock off hubs are like new and the Michelin tyres are in great shape and it has a good spare with jack and tools.
It comes with a spare new generator and new starter. Also included is a brand new alternator upgrade kit complete with mounting bracket and dummy regulator box. Also a box with spare ignition parts, elts, oses, uel pump rebuild kit etc, hings you might need on a car tour or long trip. There is also a chrome bar that attaches in front of the grill for badges or aux lighting. It also comes with a nice car cover, ood knockoff wrench, alve cover gaskets, pare side mirrors and a few other misc bits and pieces.
Overall this car is in amazing condition and is completely ready to use. I have driven many Morgans before but never one that drives as nice as this one. Truly a shining example of how good these cars can be.
