The Stewart Motor Corporation was structured in 1912 in Buffalo, ew York. By 1913 the company had paid off their debts and were getting fleet sales from the U.S. Navy and the Post Office Department. This increase in business put Stewart in direct competition with big manufactures like Studebaker, nternational Harvester and Willys-Overland. With growing success by 1920, tewart had more than 300 distributors spanning 21 countries.
This Buddy Stewart truck is powered by a stock inline six cylinder engine that is coupled to a three-speed manual shifting transmission. Inside the cab is black upholstery with hand-operated windows and windshield. The exterior is completed with handsome green and black two-tone paint. Highlighting the exterior are red artillery-style wheels with polished wheel caps, ood bed rails. The truck offered here has been the recipient of a frame-off nut & bolt restoration and shows to be in lovely condition with what appears to be all original wood work in place.
