Description for Other Makes 1989
The Pao is one of Nissan"s famous "Pike Car" models produced only for the Japanese market. This is the rarest of the editions with a Pike Factory five speed manual transmission (only 15% of Paos produced were manuals). This limited-production vehicle was marketed only in Japan and only by reservation; it sold out after just three months of pre-orders.This car was legally imported from Japan and it's very rare to find one of this quality in the United States. It features a 1.0L eight-valve, four-cylinder engine and rare five-speed manual transmission (PK10GF), practical split folding tailgate design, power steering, power front disc brakes, factory A/C and excellent gas mileage. VIN:PK10002512
All this makes the 1989 Nissan Pao a practical fun commuter and an absolute head turner! Right hand drive, Florida title, daily driver, great condition!
This awesome little ride features the original cloth interior, factory stereo with tape deck, and Japanese inspection stickers on the windshield. The power ragtop is fully functional and has only one small tear on the corner (it does not leak at all, even during Florida afternoon monsoons). Factory AC works but sometimes needs a recharge. The split tailgate works well but the pneumatic lifters slowly compress and could be replaced. The tires are in excellent condition. The brakes have plenty of pad and stop on a dime. Once in a while the starter motor won't catch on the first try, but this has never been an issue. It's been garage-kept since we've owned it. Only 124k kilometers (77k miles) on the odometer.
We've taken this car to many local events and car shows, and it's a crowd favorite every time. We'll be sad to see this unique and fun little car go, but whoever wins the auction will thoroughly enjoy her.
