I purchased this car in April of 2010 at the Charlotte Motor Speedwa, t was a South Carolina car . This is what I have done and in this orde, he transmission was rebuilt and a mild shift kit installed . The starter was also replaced . Next the black top was replaced with a new white one from Rick`s Upholstery including painting and greasing the frame and a glass rear window . On 8/21/2010 install new air shocks and lineson rear along with axle bearings and inner and outer seal, Fan clutc, all new belt, new over size radiator and hoses and clamp, nti-freez, Remanufactured Power Steering Pump and flui, eplace front shock, ut all four drums install new wheel cylinder, hoes and springs and hardware . Shortly after thePower Brake Booster and the Master Cylinder were also replaced . A new Holly Performance carb was put on . Three years ago this month I purchased a new battery . Last fall I heard a noise in the front right and had it checked out . The upper ball joint was just starting to show signs of wear . Lowers were fin, o both uppers were replaced and a wheel alignment was done . This summer a cracked front wind shield was replace, ll the glass is good but it could use new weather seals . Also this summer besides point, plugs cap and roto, new coil and ballast resistor were replace, nd a starter motor . I use this car only in nice weather and drive it locally to family and friends and a weekly car show . She turns heads everywhereI go and runs very good . The 440 is from a 197, was told this by not only the fellow I purchased the car from . But the shop that does all the mechanical work they looked at the number on the block to confirm it . She has some rattles when you shut the doo, ut she sounds great driving down the road . This is not a street machin, t`s a nice looking affordable classic old convertible from the 60`s . The interior is all original including the carpet . The floors, runk and frame have no rust, t some time on the lower rear quarters small repairs were made . From looking inside the trunk you see no evidence of a big fix anywhere . There is no spare by the way . The tires are 18`s on the front and 20`s on the rear ., t came this way .
