Description for Plymouth GTX 1968
1968 Plymouth GTX in excellent condition. paint is perfect, interior is excellent with no rips or punctures anywhere, wheels and tires are new with 15 x 8s in rear and 14 x 6s in front, also have original 14 x 7 rally wheels on barely used BF Goodrich TAs. if not interested in both sets i will keep wheels and tires on car and mount the rally wheels and deduct $1000.00. just added power front disc brakes and completly rebuilt rear brakes, just rechromed front and rear bumpers. all outside trim is perfect. floor pans and trunk pan is solid with no rust. all lights and gauges work, heater defroster works perfect. bottom of car is perfect with no signs of ever beening hit. all rubber weatherstriping and bushings underneath is still soft with no signs of cracking or braking down. front suspension is tight there is no slop in steering and if you brake hard with hands off wheel it stops straight. this is not a numbers matching car if it was i would be asking another $20.000 for it. the original motor was blown up in the late 80s and was replaced with a period correct 440 375 HP with mild cam edelbrock manifold and carb aftermarket valve covers and air cleaner. the only original part i have left is the intake manifold. the motor runs great idles at about 800rpms once warmed up. can be a little cold blooded if not started for 3 or 4 weeks. the guy i bought this car from lived in Ohio and the car was never driven in winter or snow always garaged 100% of the time. i spent 2 days back there with my mechanic and car guy before i bought it. i have a huge folder of receipts. i reserve the right to cancel auction at anytime because the car is for sale locally.
