Description for Plymouth Road Runner 1968
A show quality. ground-up restoration of an ORIGINAL Plymouth 426 HEMI. Road Runner. 4 speed car. All sheet metal and Fender Tag appear to be original as there are no visible signs of damage or replaced metal on this vehicle. Fender Tag does appear to be original per inspection report. This Road Runner is very nicely restored and has been well maintained. All the glass appears to be original as installed from the factory and in excellent shape with all the date codes. The mileage of 64. 57. 9 and appears to be original based upon the general condition of the vehicle and glass as stated by the Dave Wise inspection. The current odometer reading is 68. 86. 7 miles which also appears to further validate the mileage statement within the inspection. The fit and finish of the body panels is excellent. Floor pans. trunk pan. trunk extension. wheel wells all appear to be original and are in excellent condition. The underside of the deck lid is original paint with original tire size marking and jack instructions. Although the Rally type wheels are not original for the car. they are equipped with F70 x 14 Redline Reproduction tires for the authentic look. Per the inspection report. it has a 1969 date coded HEMI (2) 4 BBL – HP carburetor engine – MN426 2685 15490. The VIN number on the engine is 9G259480. It has a date correct 4 speed transmission but does not match the VIN tag and is equipped with 3. 54:1 ratio Sure Grip differential. Core support numbers match and as stated. the fender tag appears to match. The color is the QQ1 Code Bright Blue Metallic with an apparent clear coat over. This is a beautiful example of real 60’s MOPAR Muscle at a very affordable ownership opportunity.
