Description for Pontiac Trans Am 1979
This Beautiful car was recently restored with new paint. nbsp;rebuilt engine. transmission. interior and suspension. This is a great car that has most every part inside and out replaced or restored. All receipts available. Odometer reads @ 93521 miles. but in reality everything has been rebuilt. Engine - Olds 403 has been enhanced with Edelbrock intake and Performer Plus cam. Keith Black hi-comp hyper pistons. hooker headers. dual exhaust (no catalytic converters). and a new fuel pump. Less than 3500 miles on full rebuild. Rebuilt Transmission has upgraded number of disks and higher stall torque converter. Upgraded front and rear sway bars. Front suspension completely rebuilt all bushings. new springs. new shocks. brakes with drilled and slotted rotors and new calipers all around. New tires. chrome trim rings. correctly painted wheels. New windshield. New interior includes seats. door panels. headliner and carpet. All insignia inside and out is there. New alternator. starter. both door window motors. heater core. Photos shows glovebox door missing. but it is actually there. Trunk has original unused spare. air canister. jack and correct decal/labels. The paint is a beautiful cream color with a red bird on the hood. It was stripped to metal prior to painting. There are a few small imperfections in the paint near the front of the hood. The wheel well liners and suspension have been painted also. Trans Am decal on front bumper is peeling some. A/C needs work. I never looked at it at all. and cruise control does not work either. Interior heater fan does not blow. it did but recently decided not to anymore. The front spoilers are not perfect. they have some repaired splits. The door seals are cracked. I made the mistake of not buying OEM seals. The plastic side panels in the back seat area are not perfect. showing some sun degradation. Overall this is a very nice clean car. As mentioned most everything in it has been restored. A few spare parts come with it. Intake manifold. some exhaust parts and misc interior trim items. Car has always been located in Colorado. I bought the car from my neighbor who purchased it when it was 1 year old. This is a ready to run and have fun with car. Car has a factory installed glass sunroof. . It was done by one of the 2-3 major sunroof companies back in the day. The sunroof operates correctly.
