1978 Trans Am Y88 Gold Special Edition PHS Documented

Description for Pontiac Trans Am 1978

Very highly optioned WS6 Y88 Special Edition PHS documented. I was just at the Carlisle Autofest in Lakeland Florida and saw Burt Reynolds and several black, lue, ed and one brown TA - did not see a single Solar Gold and when I asked why, was told they are getting harder and harder to find. ThisTrans Amhas options like AM FM radio with CB, emote trunk release, ear window defroster, ower windows and locks, ontrolled cycle wipers, ew deluxe camel tan interior, S6 special performance packageand, f course, he Y88 Special Edition option including 8 inch snowflake wheels, -tops, tc.I have the original (not reproduction) Fisher Body T-Top storage bags, riginal owner's manual, he PHS reproduction window sticker and the PHS documentation for this piece of history. The paint on this car is 8.5 - 9 out of 10.Engine and transmission re-built to factory (not hot rod!) specs just before I purchasedlast year.I cannot make out the stamp on the block but prior ownersaid it is original and referred me to PHS for a personal reference. Can provide prior owner info on request - he is personal friends with the owner of the Pontiac Historic Services. Prior to his ownership, ar was in the same family since 1981. I have replaced interior (seat covers, ead liner, ackage tray, arpet, onsole lid, M floor mats, tc.) shaker hood gasket and master cylinder. Gauges, ights -interior and exterior -(including trunk and glove box), urn signals, orn, ower windows,key buzzer, adio, ipers and washer, /C - heater, tc. all work. Complete jack assembly, pare tire and T-Top bags are properly stored in the trunk with new GM trunk mat. I have included a picture of the area at the bottom of the windshield post where it meets the dash - water damage. It's the same way on both sides. I did not want to pull out the original windshield to fix for fear of breaking it so it's the one flaw I learned to live with. T-tops are original as well with glass that has a gold hue for Gold Special Edition. I don't know if they leak because thiscar has not seen rain.

TheseREAL Y88s are getting very hard to come by in decent shape - this one is in exceptional shape - I'd welcome any personal inspection. I have a very fair reserve which I won't disclose so don't ask.
