This 1964 Pontiac GTO has been painted in its factory color of Silver Mist. It has been fully documented since brand new and is a numbers matching vehicle. I have a copy of the build sheet from PHS and Protect-O-Plate from the original owner. The car has the original engine professionally re-built with all new parts. The engine block has been bored .030 with new pistons, rings, all engine bearings, cam, valves and valve springs. The engine block production codes were December of 1963 and was originally ordered as a 3-speed. A 4-speed has since been installed by the original owner. An HEI distributor has been installed in place of the points distributor. This GTO was a frame-off restoration. The frame was sandblasted an epoxy coated with new body bushings. New quarter panels were installed along with inner wheel wells and trunk panels. Patch panels were installed in the floor boards. This car was professionally painted with a base coat/clear coat in the original factory color and would be rated a 9 out of 10. The car runs and drives great and has been professionally restored and is an award winning show car. It has only been driven 100 miles since the restoration was completed in September 2016. This is a great investment car for someone's collection and is perfect for a Sunday driver.
The original owner ordered this car from the dealership in December 1963 as there were none on the lot. It was one of the first few 1,000 GTO's off the assembly line when taking delivery on January 31, 1964.
