Description for Pontiac Le Mans 1971
1971 GT37 350 4 speed car from CA. PHS documentation. Purchased from a friend that I've purchased vehicles from before that is a total Pontiac nut and has an extensive collection of rare Ponchos. It's a Lucerne Blue with white painted top car. Neat combo. Hood pins. When we media blasted it, the remnants of the side stripe were present. I don't recall seeing that on the PHS but it's there. I'd have to double-check. Photo of PHS is attached. White bench seat interior car. Black dash and carpet. Rally IIs.
Motor and trans are not original to the car but correct for the restoration. M20 is inspected and like-new. Clearly rebuilt. Has a Hurst Competition Plus shifter. 350 is a manual trans code 350 2bbl but needs to be rebuilt. Bench seat 4 speed car. Body removed from frame and media blasted by Imperial Blasting. That's the company that does all the blasting for Rad Rides by Troy. That only matters to illustrate that it was done properly by a pro. Everything hit with epoxy immediately. Floors and rockers are mint. Quarters are very solid with small patches needed. Trunk, tulip panel, package tray and lower cowl corners are the bad spots. See detailed pics. It still has the full dual exhaust on it from manifolds back. Smugmug photo album address attached with dozens of photos.
This is a project but a complete one with few exceptions...the price does not include the dash that we just got back from Just Dashes. It's incredible but cost us $1370. It's available with the car for $1370 but if you don't want that dash, it will come with a core replacement. The windshield cracked when we removed it. The entire body is disassembled and epoxied inside and out but rests on epoxied rolling chassis. Easy to move around.
Everything has been disassembled, boxed and tagged. Split dual exhaust tips. Very ice set of interior door panels. Many sub assemblies have already been media blasted and painted such as 4 speed pedals, brackets, etc.
I'd like to move this before winter. FD Customs, the shop I'm using out in Lowell IN is still happy to complete the restoration if you'd like and do World of Wheels winning quality work. The price reflects the car as it sits which is disassembled. I will continue to work on and assemble this one as I know it's daunting to sell a blown apart project car but the price will reflect whatever work I do to it. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. It's a great start to a neat and fairly rare GT37. Most importantly, join the restoration page a started on FaceBook by looking up 1971 GT-37 Restomodification and ask to join so you can see all of the progress so far and check out the photo album links I include. I have copious pics of everything. Thanks!
***UPDATE: The listing would not allow me to include a path to the SmugMug photo album, but you can reach me through the FaceBook page 1971 GT-37 Restomodification and I can send you dozens and dozens of pics. Thanks!
