The GTO started the muscle car craze in the early 60's. It was an instant success, it hit the ground running and never looked back, well maybe just to look in their rear view mirror and see who they just beat in a race. This GTO offered today is a real, authentic GTO that was born with all the right options not only to make it a powerful muscle car but to do it in gentlemen's style. Exterior:
The exterior of the vehicle is in excellent condition. The body was always maintained and never rusty. The floors are original and in excellent condition. Solid frame and a very solid original body car. All the glass is original and intact. The top is about 3 years old with all new mechanics(motor, cylinders, linings). The body has 1 repaint that is in excellent condition. It was color sanded, rubbed out and polished. PPG Base/Clear coat. All the chrome and bright work has been polished and shows wonderful. There were new tail lights and bezels added to finish off the restoration. The euro bumper does show some wear upon very close inspection. This is a great show car/local cruise night car, it always draws attention wherever it goes.
Interior:
The interior has always been maintained. Its a mix of originality and upkeep that presents itself well. Take a look at the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have.
Drive-Train:
The engine is a period correct 400 cubic inch V8. It has an aluminum intake with a Holley carburetor. Also has power steering and power brakes. The car came from the factory with factory a/c and it is in working order. Transmision is a 400 Turbo automatic with console shifter. The car runs and drives excellent, even has new wheels and tires.
In summation, this GTO was always owned locally and garaged in a climate controlled environment. It is hard to find a convertible in such solid shape. It always makes a scene at local shows and cruise nights. The motor sounds beautiful and the car runs very, very strong.
