Description for Pontiac Chieftain 1955

This is a 1955 Pontiac wagon it is a 2door and it has a manual transmission. There was only 8000 of them made in 1955 and of that 8000 only 800 manuals were produced. Many of those are no longer on the road. This is a rare and very unique ride. The car has been lowered about 4" and is on a set of 18" rims with great tread. The paint has some fade/patina look that complements the car well. It has a great running motor that is a factory 287 with a factory 4 barrel carb that was rebuilt by Pontiac in 1956 that has been siting on a shelf until this year when I installed it on this car. The exterior lights have been all upgraded to leds with modern looking headlights, and illuminated hood ornament. Along with the lights, the whole car has been rewired with a new painless wire harness and a new alternator to replace the generator. The whole interior has been redone starting with new seats that have new foam and fresh custom made black vinyl covers. It also has new carpet with a nice thick padding. To finish the interior off we have a new black headliner that looks beautiful. I have owned this car for a year and have had a lot of fun working on the car and all the attention it gets. Every time someone sees it they are always blown away by how cool it looks and how they had no idea they ever even made something like this. It's a little sad for me to sell it but I'm ready to move on to new projects.
