Description for Porsche 911 1980
I am reluctantly listing my euro model1983 Porsche 911SC Convertible. Grand prix white with original black leather interior. 84,295 original miles. I have had the car for aprox six wonderful years. It is completely rust free as it came from a Florida federal auction about fifteen years ago. Purchased by a friend of mine for his Porsche collection.he rarely drove it and I bought it from him with 65,000m. Unfortunately because of the government seizure it came with no history. I do have a certificate of authenticity from Porsche and the engine and transmission are original and have never been out or modified in any way. The car still needs the timing chain upgrade. But this does add to the complete originality of the car. The only thing I have done to the car besides enjoy it completely is a fabspeed exhaust, omo steering wheel, hift knob, hange the oil, dd the whale tail and removed the non operating A/C system. All original parts except the radio are mint and included. Some one needed my tool kit and stole it at a car show two years ago..gotta love folks like that.It runs like a time piece. No noise or smoke. Clutch and transmission are typical SC.after some adjustment time I was Hurley Haywood. .lol..Handles perfect, rives like its on rails. It will need tires next season. very clean undercarriage with zero rust anywhere. At some point the passengers side was repainted professionally. I have brought it to a body shop and no filler was found...all metal. There are two small door dings and a scratch on the front bumper from a ladder fall in the garage, am still beating myself up for that one. the interior is all original and nice. There is a split in the seat of the drives side and a small tear in the passengers. Cocoa mats are a nice compliment.Rear seats are mint. Dash is unsplit but slightly warped around the vents as it is the original leather. Heater blower stopped working last month and I have not had a chance to look at it..could be simple..not sure. Clock works intermittently. All other gauges work. The trim around the doors is original and could use replacing and the leather on the convertible header bar has come out of the trim. Just needs to be worked back in.the top is near mint original...the rear window stitching gave way at some point and the window is no longer in its home but is in good condition and included of course. I found a boat canvas company locally would be able to sew it back in. But I have never driven in anything but the optimal weather. Please come see the car if you can. Please send someone to see the car if you cant come yourself.I have tried to explain the car as best as I can . I can answer any question to the best of my ability and send any additional photos you require. . Just give me a minute as the car is in a garage about a half hour away from my current location.I will not ship the car for you. I will not end the auction early. I will not reveal the reserve. I will not tolerate psychopaths. I will report any scams immediately. No warranty. At end of auction a deposit of 500$ is required within 24hrs.I am not desperate to sell this fine work of art so bid accordingly.Thank you and good luck.Dave.
