Description for Porsche 924 1977
1977 Porsche 924 Martini & Rossi Coupe
This 924 is finished in the limited-edition livery of Martini & Rossi, ponsors of Porsche's motor sports program. New fuel pump, njectors, adiator and clutch, ew battery, resh tune up. Always stored indoors. Interior in very good condition, eats and carpets are in excellent shape, enter console and gauges are very clean, ash is starting to bubble on drivers side. Good tires and brakes, t's a driver! Volkswagen's decision not to proceed with their designed-by-Porsche 914 replacement led to the latter taking on the project themselves. The first-ever Porsche to use a front-mounted, ater-cooled engine, he 924 arrived in November 1975 and drew heavily on Volkswagen/Audi components: the 2.0-litre, our-cylinder, verhead-camshaft engine being a development of the Audi 100's and the four-speed transaxle a VW-sourced unit. With 125bhp on tap, he sleekly styled 924 was good for a top speed of 125mph with 60mph coming up in 9.9 seconds. A Porsche-designed five-speed gearbox and improvements to the suspension were early developments. With a price 30% less than that of a 911, he 924 was an instant success and would become the best selling Porsche model of its day, xtending the marque's appeal to a sector of the market that previously could not have afforded one. Joe at Old School Garage did the service and safety check. When doing the service Joe discovered the injectors where wrong and instead the correct ones and it runs even better now. Cond. # 3 +.

At our dealership we work very hard to accurately describe our vehicles through text descriptions and elaborate photos. When you purchase a pre-owned vehicle it is not a new vehicle. Any used vehicle can have normal wear and blemishes. Before placing a bid please read the descriptions thoroughly and view all pictures.
