Background On The 1987 924S:The 924 was introduced to ready America for a front engine water cooled Porsche. The soon to be released V8 powered 928 increased sales volume as well. It was always a great handling car and affordable. but a little underpowered. Numerous enhancements were made throughout its life cycle including interior. exterior. and mechanicals. etc. It was replaced by the 944 which saw a new body and interior as well as a more powerful motor. Now it was an incredible car for its time. but also very expensive for a 4 cylinder sports car and sales suffered. Porsche resurrected the 924 body and interior. added the 944 powertrain and called it the 924S. In doing so they produced one of its finest normally aspirated sleepers ever. This car has never be raced. auto crossed or participated in any events as far as I can tell. I have been told and the condition bears this out. This car is nearly a time capsule.
