This beautiful Irish Green 912 hot-rod was hand-picked and sought out by William Knight of Knightrace Porsche as the ultimate lightweight long hood canvas for an easy resto-mod build. The previous owner did a mild restore that included paint and the 2.7 liter engine swap. His goal was to keep the car original as possible while bringing it as close to the driving experience of a 911S. The car spent its life in California up until a year and a half ago when it was purchased and brought to Chicago where it was driven and thoroughly enjoyed this last summer.
The ulta light-weight chassis paired with the 2.7 liter motor and dog leg 5 speed is an absolute hoot to drive! Its quick, nimble and eager to please its driver. The car pulls strong through the entire rev range and the transmission shifts smoothly. This is truly one of the most enjoyable air-cooleds I have ever driven!
The car has just undergone some spring maintenance to ensure its ready to go for its new owner. All work completed by Perfect Power in Buffalo Grove, IL:
Valve cover gaskets
Chain tensioner cover gaskets
Oil return tubes
Spark Plugs
Oil & Filter Service
Full CIS tune-up and adjustment
The body and paint are extremely solid and straight. The only things needing attention are the interior if you desire and minor rust repair of the pan. As you can see from the pictures, the pans on this car are all original and untouched. The pans are super solid structurally and any corrosion can be easily fixed by simple patch work. You can read this car like a book! Other than that this car is ready to go!
If you are looking for the ultimate lightweight chassis with all of the hard work already done, this is it!
An incredible value at $40,000.00 USD
