Description for Porsche 911 1972
Porsche and the 911 make history every year with the ongoing model that has remained in its same basic form since day one as well as retaining the same model name since 1966. Porsche has never tried to reinvent the car just make it better and more enticing to the buyers. This custom built 911 is done extremely well and was started with a 1972 long nose body and being tastefully converted into a turbo wide body look. All body panels were sourced from Porsche and the front end retained the lon...g nose structure internally to be easily converted back to its original look. Rear turbo flares are butt-welded like the original 930's and carry the slant body gills. The 3.0L engine has been slightly modified and carry PMO 46mm carbs and intakes. B&B style stainless exhaust with Bursch mufflers are installed nicely and the MSD ignition allows the car to fire up quickly and easily. Transmission is the 915 5speed manual and has about 3k miles on the rebuild. Front are rear suspension have been modified with Weltmeister 19mm sway bar kit and triangulate strut races. Wilwood superlite II calipers with 3.5 bolt spacing to accommodate the massive 19in GT3 Porsche wheels. Front bonnet houses a new 18-gallon fuel cell that sits in a steel cradle aand a 12v electric pump in the smugglers box. Interior has fresh dash pad proper working gauges and new Procar black leather sport seats along with RS door panels and hardware. This is a very unique and professionally built 911 that is ready for any adventure you choose to pursue. If you want to track it race it or just enjoy it there is nothing better than to buy one already done with all the big ticket items already paid for by someone else. The cost to duplicate a car like this would cost $30k to just get a starting point. The car quickly comes a live and with a short warm up period this 911 is ready for the road and the sound that it produces is a quite intoxicating and hard to resist. Buy a car that will get you noticed at the next Porsche club meet or car show. Surely you will not be missed. To see over 80 photos of this car including under carriage please visit our website
