Description for Porsche 928 1980

I believe that cars like this belong on the road and deserve to be driven, to break up the monotony of boring cars on the road today. When people see this car out and about, it brightens their day. I would love to see this car go to someone who keeps it on the road.
It is owned by my Father - I am coordinating the listing and communication for him, but if you have a question that I can't answer, I will direct you to him. He is a 67 year-old doctor and takes excellent care of the car. It was never raced or beaten on during his ownership.
It was purchased about 15 years ago as a non-running car due to electrical and CIS issues.Over the years, it has been continuously repaired and maintained back to full health. It is regularly maintained and has current inspection and registration.
This car, like most 40 year old cars, has some problems, or 'personality'. They are as follows:Rear hatch leaksSome rust around window frames and sunroofThe transmission sometimes grinds when shifting into 2'nd gear quickly. It has had this issue for the past 15 years and the problem hasn't gotten any worse.Peeling clearcoat on hoodCrack around rear passenger side marker light on bumperPaint cracks on front bumperVery slow oil leak through cam seal (<1 quart per 3000 miles), leaks onto the exhaust manifold and creates a burning oil smell.Intermittent odometer over the past couple of years. The odometer reads ~129k, but actual estimated mileage is around 135,000.Switch bezels on powered seats are cracked. The dashboard has a plastic cover over it. The dashboard underneath has a crack in it.The fuel gauge doesn't work sometimes.
The good:Interior is in great shapeStarts right up every time and has been very reliableWell maintained and frequently servicedMotor is strong and healthy, with good compressionAdult owned - never beaten on or raced.ECU recently replacedRelatively new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tiresFresh timing beltFresh shifter bushingsStaggered Porsche 996 911 turbo twist wheels. No frame damage or accidents.Stored inside over the winter and covered in the summers outside when not driven. Never driven in snow, seldom driven in rain.Alternator replacedFluid in the transaxle flushed recently.Sunroof, power windows, headlights, heater, and foglights work.
Let me know if you have any questions, or if you would like to see the car in-person. I am located in Harrisburg, PA.
