I purchased the car in 1988. I was young and wanted to restore the car but didn’t have enough time or money. so after working on it for about a year. I put it in my parents heated/cooled garage under a few car covers. It stayed there until I recently brought it to my house where it is under car covers sitting in my garage. The car ran and drove fine when I purchased it. It smoked some because the piston rings pitted the cylinder walls. The person who owned it before me had it parked in the driveway and someone clipped the back corner of the car. It damaged the taillight housing and a small spot on rear quarter. I had this fixed and now it looks perfect. I removed the interior. side glass and window frames. and stripped the car down to bare metal (I did not remove the front or rear glass). and had it professionally painted black. The car has ZERO RUST. NO RUST AT ALL. This year has a lot of rust issues. but this one has NONE. The engine was taken out and partially dissembled. From this I figured out the piston rings pitted the cylinder walls causing it to smoke. I purchased a good used set of jugs and pistons but never put the engine back together. I have every piece for the engine. all you have to do is put it back together. The car has a fiberglass RS front bumper and a fiberglass rear center section. I do not have the original metal front bumper or the rear metal center piece. The car comes with the original seats. but right now it has a pair of later model leather Porsche seats. I have every part. nut and bolt that came with the car. It ran and drove when I got it. all it needs is to be put back together. I had the bodywork done and had it painted as soon as I got it. Again. I have every nut and bolt. every engine piece. every piece of interior. a brand new carpet kit. factory front and rear turn signal housings and lenses. and more. I just want to say again this car is RUST FREE and has been sitting in a climate controlled garage since 1988.
