Cobra is owned by an avid enthusiast and is the recipient of a $10,000 repaint which was completed about 2 months ago. The body panel gap is better than new. The panels are straight and flat. The black paint looks like it is two miles deep. The only issue is the windshield cracked while I was driving to the photo shoot. I will be replacing it with a new Factory Five piece if I have a sale price that I am happy with.

I will go into greater detail about the condition of each section of the car below, ut please look at the pictures closely.

Body and Paint: The car has not been in any accident. The paint that was done during the original construction was fading badly. The factory 5 Mark 3 cobra has some inherent short coming where is comes to fit and finish as well as the mounting of the body. When we did the body we replaced all of the body screws on the lower edge of the body with stainless Allen bolts. We also addressed the lack of bracing under the hood with new fabricated braces. The fit and finish is very nice. The body lines are straight and consistent. The doors, nd truck open nicely. The hood is a lift off as it was when it was new. The black paint and grey stripes are done with Chemspec Metalux paint which is a very high cost paint product. I photographed this car in all types of light but, ictures just can’t capture the depth of the black paint.

Interior: The black interior is in excellent condition including the original Cobra style gauges including the reverse speedo. In the pictures the lock covers are not installed. I had greased the locks. The chrome covers are new and have been installed. The shifter is the correct “angled forward” big block style.

Motor and Transmission, nd Rear End: Thedrive trainis a 5.0 from a 1998 Mustang GT. I do not know the miles on the donor car, ut in this chassis the car has accumulated about 3333 miles. There is a large aluminum radiator that does keep it cool in the Arizona heat. The car has power steering, nd manual brakes. I have recently had the fuel injection dialed in by a highly respected shop here in phoenix named Bob Rheem at Imagine Injection. The motor is very strong with no leaks and great power. I believe the motor to be stock. I believe the transmission also came from the same 1998 Mustang. It is a T5. The clutch is firm and feels to have little wear. The rear end is built with YuCon Gear posi and axles. There is no wining or humming in the rear end.

Chassis, ires and Wheels: As per the pictures the chassis was assembled very nicely. The stainless steel under the car is clean and is in excellent shape. All of the rubber bushing look new. The car does not creak or made off noises as many of the older Cobra kits do. The wheels are Torque Thrust II type with Shelby center cabs. The Tires are BFG G Force and are are date coded 2007. They look new. The suspension has adjustable Bilstein coil over shocks in front. The upper and lower control arms are adjustable.
