Description for Toyota Tacoma 1989
This is a very clean 1989 Toyota 4WD SR5 pickup. It has the extended cab, long wheel base long bed. The miles, 132,500,are all original, speedometer and odometer work perfectly. This is a California truck I purchased outside of San Diego in 2009. Everything in the truck is original. It had the lift when I bought it. It also has a sprayed rhino liner applied in the bed. The body, bed and underneath are almost rust free because it has spent most of its life on the West Coast. The chromerear bumper is rusting from the East Coast salt air and the right front door and fender have a tiny spot each and one spot inside the right side door . That is it.
Everything works on the truck including the AC, but it could use a charge. The timing chain was done at 121,000 miles. Truck does not burn a drop of oil. The 22re4 cylinder engines are rock solid as everybody knows. Front and rear brakes complete were just done in September.
Now the clutch is original. It still works, has a little bit of slip if you get on it hard so will need to be addressed in the future. The tailgate handle needs to be replaced. I have the new one but have not had the time to have it installed. Last but not least, the exhaust needs to be replaced from the cat back. It is a one piece system. Not very loud yet, but it will need to be done.
Besides that, the truck is good to go. 4 wheel drive works great and engages with a push of a button and throwing it into 4 high or low.
Please, only serious inquiries and serious bids. I am setting a reserve because I will keep the truck if I do not get what I think its worth.
Thank you and happy bidding!
