Description for Volkswagen Beetle - Classic 1977
Celebrating its 40th anniversary, this special edition #S723 "Champagne Edition I" is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. It was given a "body-off frame" restoration ~5 yrs ago, with correct Alpine White L90B paint, new floorpans, and engine rebuild. The restoration was finalized THIS YEAR with the new parts listed below.Floors are like new; convertible top and bronze-tinted windows operate with ease. It drives straight and runs strong. Everything works as it should. Anything worn has been replaced or reconditioned, so you may drive it with confidence.
Only ONE Champagne Edition Convertible was delivered to each VW dealer in the US for the '77 production year. That's fewer than 600 made.
This Special Edition's defining features are its Tiger Maple woodgrain dash trim, leather-wrapped steering wheel, thin white-wall tires, unique tweed-accented interior, and signature gold pin-striping. It's the classiest special edition Super Beetle ever created; definitely a rolling conversation piece!

It is a really, really nice ride that you will be happy to add to a collection, or as your special weekend cruiser. True mileage is unknown as the speedometer cable was broken when I got it, but the engine was rebuilt about 5 years ago, and runs strong. The gauge has been rebuilt and set to zero. It currently shows ~1400 miles. This car is ready for another 40 years of fun!
