1985 Volkswagen Jetta 1.6L Factory Turbo Diesel Wolfsburg with a 5 speed transmission.
This is a factory turbo Jetta, with the corresponding MF engine code. The block has oil squirters to further lubricate and cool the pistons, as was originally designed with VW turbo diesel applications. It also has the factory boost enrichment on the injection pump. This is not some turbo added on later on without the proper precautions.
Engine was rebuilt by previous owner a few years ago, receipts from the rebuild included in sale. Injection pump has also been resealed.

Mechanically the car is in pretty great shape. Paint has seen better days.No power options, just good old reliable manual windows.The body is decent. Interior is in pretty great shape. Overall a nice almost completely stock TD Jetta. Not easy to find. Would be great for the beginning of a cool TD build, or leave it stock.
It has a clean North Carolina title.
