Description for Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon 1971
Meet Tillie, a 1971 Volkswagen T2 Transporter Westfalia Camper.
I purchased the Bus from the widow of the original California owner in 2017. A west coast Bus almost its entire life it has survived incredibly well! Still retaining 85% of its original Pastel White paint! And all of its original interior except for front seat covers and door panels, of which I have and will include with the sale. The bus is very well documented and comes with receipts for repairs and the full engine and transmission rebuild by marque specialist. Recently I replaced the windshield seal, front windshield, wiper blades, rear door seals, rubber on the bumpers, and 4 new Hankook white wall tires on refinished wheels. Very well optioned with top luggage rack, rear ladder, pass through front bucket seats, factory westfalia camper conversion, refrigerator, pop up tent top with folding cot, rear window defogger, original window drapes, power disc brakes, inner anti-dazzle mirror, padded dash, 3 point seat belts, original tool kit, and original working am/fm radio. The top tent is original and has been patched in places. The bus runs and drives great! All the gauges, wipers, lights and so on work. I would not hesitate to drive it across the country!! The previous owner did so several times. I really want her to go to a loving home. I know these Buses have been rising in value rapidly and to find such a well preserved and solid example is very rare! Please feel free to call me with any questions, I can also help arrange worldwide shipping if needed. Kevin 314 578 4795.
