Description for Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon 1978
There are few automotive icons that bring as much joy and nostalgia as Volkswagens ubiquitous Bus. The Type 1 Bus first game to the states in 1951 and very characterized by their large number of windows (21 or 23). The later T2 model were much revised and were a bit larger and heavier than the early models. The T2 models were made famous by their partnership with Westfalia, a German based camper conversion company. With that legendary pairing, the famous... VW Westy was born. Offered here for the first time since its restoration is a quality example of the VW Westy with full camper setup and plenty of extras to make any trip a joy and memorable. Vehicle was nicely restored about 5yrs ago and only about 6k miles logged on it since the completion. Vehicle is optioned and was treated to a very high end repaint in the factory correct Dakota Beige exterior and matching Boogie Woogie brown cloth interior. The vehicle has many new items such as; camper top canvas, new counter tops, new tires, new front spare with cover, trim work and rebuilt transmission. Vehicle sleeps 4 comfortable and all the cabinets and storage hardware is present along with the factory fridge, stove top, sink, swing away table, water hookup and 110v hookup. Vehicle comes with lots of vintage luggage, cooler, thermos and picnic basket to keep the nostalgia going on your next trip. Starts up nicely and the fuel injected 4cyl hustles through the gears with ease. Horn and headlights are working properly as well. These are continuing to climb in value each week that passes and the cost to restore them are climbing rapidly as parts are becoming harder to obtain. Much easier to buy one done and ready then go thru the pain of restoring one of your own.
