Well, I used to find stuff like this all the time.Not so much anymore.What this is is a 1968 Volvo P1800 S Coupe. That had sat for the last 10 years or so in outdoor storage behind the elderly owners home in Southern Oregon .Along with a 73 P1800 ES I also bought and am listing here also..This Coupe will be a great base to work with. Bring it back to life with most everything there solid and nice. And unplayed with over the years. For a car that has sat for over a decade, this car is a real find and really deserves to drive down the road again.Not many chances to find neat cars like this to do that with anymore .It is a 4 speed with Overdrive car. Looks to of been repainted once the original factory red. And needs it again..There is paint and body fill pulling on front left fender near the headlight, though solid nice metal below. While the floors,inner and outer rockers are pretty much rustfree,the rear back trunklid has rust thru.Probably from sitting all those years.So new decklid is in order..Overall this car looks like it was owned and maintained by a hardcore Volvo P1800 guy who knew how to do it right. The odometer shows 39,000 or so miles or so, but I have no clue if that is accurate.The engine turns over nicely . Did a compression check dry and came up with 105,90,10 and 75. Yep 10. Almost dead number 3 cylinder. Stuck valve,lifter,oil ring or what I do not know. Not great but after sitting for this long at least it is not stuck. Compression may go up with some run time, but do not count on that. Valves,head wor, rings, may be in order. As usual, hope for the best, plan for the worse.The interior needs to been gone thru. Though there is a box with pretty nice door panels,carpet,vinyl that will really help here. The chrome on the car is in nice shape, as is the grille. Though the same can not be said about the windshield. Somewhere in storage someone thought it would be a neat idea to toss a rock thru the right side.The gas tank looks like it was replaced in recent history and is clean and nice. P1800S are neat. And getting harder to find in any shape for reasonable money. Especially with as much going for it as this one.This will be a vgreat base to work with.I travel around the West Coast with my truck and trailer and might be able to get it to you or close. And can arrange trucking to Long Beach California shippers for overseas buyers for $300.
