You are bidding on a rare beautiful 1971 Volvo 142E Coupe that has the legendary B20e high comp four-cylinder 2.0L Bosch fuel-injected engine super fun to drive with 4 speed functional electric overdrive tight responsive steering great suspension that handles any road condition with confidence a true enthusiasts dream Volvo. FYi according to reputable I-net sources the 1971 model 142E is the most desirable year and model features options package unique only to the 71' 142E including Electronic Fuel-Injection, overdrive transmission, leather seats, metallic paint, upgraded front disc brakes, radials, enhanced exhaust and high comp. B20 engine. If you have been trying to find a 1971 142E Coupe they are really getting quite scarce (none on ebay f/s) only about 1,000 of these were imported to the USA here are more details.

The Details;

The bones of this Coupe are solid. The paint was redone prior to me acquiring the car over 5 years ago in its original Gold Metallic. Should be noted the doors were replaced during the paint process as an upgrade with I believe are 1974 142 doors. The door handles are flush aerodynamic creating a visually cleaner looking body line. I get comps on the cars appearance where ever i go. I would say its above average driver quality nice slick job a few road chips as to be expected however its been carefully adult driven. Just to note there are a few very minor hairline cracks under the paint that appeared before my tenure one on the driver side door and other just off to the left of that door (*see drivers side pix) which are minor remaining as such nothing else has come out in past 5 years of my ownership no visible rust spots. The underside is solid kept dry as is the trunk. The bumpers emblems bright work aluminum & stainless trim are in nice shape. Grill was upgraded to the beautiful GT metal grill with inboard driving lights. I have the original grill. New Mini Lite Gold Wheels really make the car turn heads. Due to consistent garage storage the car remains in really nice overall condition still presents beautifully. The interior is a pleasure to see. The front Black leather bucket seats are sexy looking very comfortable redone in Black leather, dash has been upgraded to the GT Dash which totally makes all the difference with full classic period GT gauge cluster, Upgraded Momo Steering Wheel feels great when driving, the long throw shift lever makes shifting a breeze, CD Stereo is upgraded dash lights turn on Blue led for great high visibility night driving, carpets replaced by previous owner, the factory AC Vents ducts remain intact however under the hood items were removed by the prior owner I do not have them. The trunk has full spare jack tools mat also the rarely seen Volvo spare gas can is still intact how cool is that.

The Mechanics;

B20 2.0L Bosch fuel-injected engine starts right up runs strong holds good oil pressure no smoke pulls strong truly an amazing engine. Upgraded to IPD Camshaft, K&N Air Filter always regularly serviced by authorized Volvo mechanics. The 4 speed gearbox shifts smoothly up & down no issues clutch is perfect electric overdrive works properly giving you that extra highway gear. A pleasure to drive very responsive handling fantastic disc brakes super fun to drive. It has recent radiator, fan, shocks, springs, new trans mount, exhaust, alternator, battery and much more. The odometer stopped working then started again so the true mileage is unknown however I estimate it about 145k(i do have a copy of the previous owners title to convey that stated 110,789 actual miles when he bought it)in my opinion low for a car built to go literally millions of miles of service. Heat works lights are all functional its go time.
