Ultra Cool time period piece with known history In which I will tell the details as I know from 70 year old previous owner.the car was built In the mid 1960's and was stored away In a garage all It's life the owner paid close to 10k for the car In 1973 then he stored the car and brought her to his local strip a handful of times just testing It and he last raced It In 1985 only to be locked up a the key throwed away till now.nows your chance to own the the car you always wanted but never could afford till now Its the real deal steel 1940 coupe with 1941 center section and not some wavy fiberglass clone replica model car kit.you can buy a fiberglass car any day of the week just get your checkbook out.real deal steel cars rarely pop up less then are slammed lowered and made to look like glass junk.not the case here folks here's the real deal.If you win the car and you cant back up your bid your (deposit which Is non refundable) will be kept for my time trouble and hassles no exceptions.
1.Steel Body REAL WILLYS Coupe time capsule barn find survivor car.
2.Cal auto fiberglass race nose 3 piece unit with 1958 Ford Grill Period Correctly Built.
3.drivers side door Is cal auto fiberglass to counterbalance the car.
4.trunk lid is cal auto fiberglass once again period to the car correctly built.
5.fiberglass cal auto rocker panels once again period to the car.
6.the rear fenders and other door and everything steel.
7.1960's I assume 1965 283 destoked since the cars got a 301 stroker sbc once again built back In 1960's 2, barrels with edelbrock tunnel ram has a vertex magneto handmade headers back then.
8.big pin muncie 4 speed with reverse lockout very cool feature back then and was added In mid 1970's since car originally had a t 10 4 speed.
9.oldsmobile rear end with way advanced suspension work ladder bars half way up the car as expected but the car has coil over rears and not elipitical springs.it has fully adjustable panhard bar too way advance for then.
10.completely boxed chasis that would be hard to make this nice welded today Its that clean.don long front axle In chrome.
11.handbuilt fuel cell back then with holley blue pump mounted In truck which I would freshen up some from setting.
12.cool ass big window halibrand wheels with 1969 racemaster slicks which still hold air very well.I will knock 5K off the price If you wanna buy the car and bring your own tires and wheels.no exceptions on this deal 5K will come off and I can keep wheels and tires.car has airheart rear brakes only no fronts.
13.car has airheart rear brakes all freshened up but master cylinders weak as stated and comes with rebuild kit.
14.car has chrome garnish moldings,also period to the car.It has a bump switch mounted outside to bump It over to set rockers.
DETAILS OF THE CAR.
Car will fire up but will not set and run for hours,It needs fuel system cleaned up and or updated from over 40 years of dry storage.the car ran low 10's back In the days and Is very light the clutch has recently been replaced as well as big pin completely rebuilt and the rear brakes have been through entirely but now the master cylinder Is alil weak so I do have a rebuild kit for It.I took the rollbar out but It all unbolted anyways so I saved it all hell a kid couldn't even get behind the wheel a guy would have to be 6 foot 150 to even set In the car prior to me removing It.as I said It's all here with the car even the old cool aircraft seat belts.all and all a guy could easily get the car running for less then 500.00 and have a cool driver as shown shes not bondoed out at all theres 1 lil spot In passenger door but alil new metal would easily fix It, s I said shes been dry stored 40 years climate controlled.bid to own the car do the math 10k In 74 In over 100k today the cars still worth that If you can find a field car for 20.000-25.000 which we know don't exist I chase these cars daily.If you can try to build It cheaper then please knock yourself out.at the end of the day you will have a recreation replica car not a real deal 1960's built car like this one.I dont have to sell the car I don't need the money I just have alot going on with business and all and wanna focus on my others.I currently am up to 5 steel coupes and I'm selling one to focus on others,no I will not part the car out and no I dont have any fenders or grills or doors for sell you want perfect metal buy new like I have for my others cars.you can call me anytime 10am central time till midnight only at 816-273-6489 with legit questions,no 1980's offers please no tire kickers or difficult people apply.you all know what your looking at and how rare these REAL STEEL CARS ARE.I'm not looking for any boats or s10 trades or bikes,no wifes and no chevelles,novas or rustangs.the willys are the best looking cars made bar none.thanks for your consideration.I have the car listed for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to end auction and sale locally at anytime.thanks
