1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 400cid V8 Automatic First Generation in Rare Unmolested condition offered by Gas Monkey Garage with . ! The Monte Carlo started as a Chevrolet concept car. They modeled the styling on the contemporary Cadillac Eldorado. New exterior "coke bottle styling" featured concealed windshield wipers and a light monitoring system was optional. This extremely clean example was built at the Los Angeles plant and spent its entire life in sunny southern California where I found it on a recent trip. Other than a few adjustments here and there, he car needed nothing, t’s that nice (please see all pics)! The exterior is in remarkable condition with few nicks or chips and most if not all of the exterior trim is present. The paint is smooth and glossy and appears to have been re-sprayed at some time in the past and shows well(please note: there are two small areas at the base of the rear window where the paint has bubbled that should be addressed by the new owner soon-again see all pics)! The interior is in phenomenal condition as well with clean, olid seats, oor panels, ash, arpet and headliner. All of the dash components work as they should, xcept the A/C doesn’t blow cold (the compressor clutch engages but it appears to be locked up), ven the original AM/FM 8 Track tape deck works! Under side pics reveal a solid chassis with minimal superficial rust present on most components. While the engine starts right up and this car runs and drives well, t hasn’t been driven regularly in years and should be completely serviced prior to any extended driving to ensure safety and reliability (due to our filming schedule, e cannot perform any additional work on this car, OLD AS IS/WHERE IS!
