1969 Chevrolet C 10 SWB Step Side offered by Gas Monkey Garage with . ! This well preserved, un-restored example of the iconic second generation C 10 that runs and drives will be seen on the hit show Fast N’ Loud and the winning bidder may have the option of taking delivery here at the shop! Built with the 250 CID inline 6 cyl and 3 on the tree manual transmission at the St. Louis plant.A new, more modern look graced the second generation C 10, along with a new nickname: "Action Line". It was with this revision of the C/K truck that General Motors began to add comfort and convenience items to a vehicle line that had previously been for work purposes alone. Updated styling features for the new Chevy Pickup trucks came with new body sheet metal that helps fight rust. The majority of 10 and 20 series Chevrolet trucks from 1967 to 1972 were built with a coil spring trailing arm rear suspension, which greatly improved the ride over traditional leaf springs. The front suspension on all Chevrolet C series trucks were independent front suspension with coil springs. The exterior shows well with a good patina that only comes from years of hard work! Interior pics show a fairly complete interior that will make for an easy restoration if you decide to travel that road. Underside pics reveal a solid chassis with minor superficial rust present on most surfaces (see all pics). The wood in the bed has deteriorated and will need to be replaced and there is some minor rust perforation on the drivers side floor behind the accelerator pedal (removed in some of the pics for a better look) and in the door opening (again, see all pics). While this truck runs and drives, it should be completely service before any extended driving to ensure safety and reliability(due to our filming schedule, we cannot perform any additional work or service on this truck or build it for you.
