Description for Chevrolet Corvair 1964
1964 Mint and original Corvair Monza sedan survivor! This Covair is a 100% original, low 41k mile mint time warp gem that has only recently made it's way from North Carolina to sunny San Diego, California. Purchased from the second owner, a Corvair fanatic with several other wonderful Corvair's in his collection. As he has shared the story, this car has retained it's original and highly cared for condition due to the fact that for much of it's life, it was owned initially by a former GM Executive. It was lightly used and carefully stored for the duration of it's life time. Never taken out in inclement weather nor on salted or snowy roads, this little GM classic is completely rust free.
Take a look at the photos and you can see the immaculate preserved quality of the chrome that simply looks perfect and shiny and new. The paint is astounding with it's warm beige hue, with nary an overspray or paint blend anywhere. YES...that paint job is 100% original paint! Absolutely jaw dropping quality of preservation! The interior also shows "as new" with supple padding still intact on all the seats, the door panels and carpet and headliner are perfect and unflawed. All glass is original and without road chips or cracks.
The engine bay is clean and very tidy, showing off the original, numbers matching engine. The engine starts up on the first click of the key in the ignition. It warms up briskly and once on the road, performs with perfection. Smooth and crisp feeling as it shifts through the gears, the 6-cylinder engine has a light and throaty purr, and this little 'Vair has some real get up and go---thanks to the Monza edition added power. It runs true and straight and drives without any squeaks or rattles.
All windows roll up and down like new. Steering is tight and straight. It has that new, Swiss-watch feel to it. One simply knows it could cruise happily at 75 mph for hours on end.
This car is one to enjoy, take to shows and preserve for future generations. The quality is such that it could be in a car museum, but that's no fun! It really longs to be out on the road, rolling down the highway and gaining smiles as it cruises along.
Good luck bidding! I have 100% positive Ebay rating. I have sold a number of cars on Ebay, however I am NOT a dealer...just a certified 'car nut' that loves finding, enjoying and sharing great low mileage survivor cars. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
Reserve is set at a fair price for a rare Corvair of this quality.
Car is for sale locally, thus seller reserves the right to cancel auction at any time in the event of a sale outside this venue. Clear California title in my name. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however I do have a great shipping broker I can refer----his prices are the best I have found and he does a great job!
Good luck bidding! JON
