Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1961
For sale is my unrestored barnfind 1961 Chevrolet Parkwood station wagon. This is one of the nicest, solid unmolested classics I’ve ever owned. The car was purchased brand new in Everett Washington on January 13th in 1961. It has been one family owned since new. I bought the car from the original owners nephew who had purchased the car from his aunt in the early 90’s because she was getting too old to drive. The only time it was driven was when his wife would pick his aunt up to run errands. It was last registered in 1998 but he regularly fired it up and drove it around the block to keep the fluids moving. It is all original with the exception of a new starter and I put a new edelbrock carb on it with plans on having the original 4 barrel Rochester rebuilt (it will be included with the car. I have the original window sticker and warranty paperwork from when his family purchased the car new. It has the original 283 and powerglide which run very good. Also has power steering, power rear tailgate window, one piece front and rear bumpers, dual mirrors, padded dash, 2 speed wiper. I added an original front bumper guard and NOS Vent Shades. The paint is nice but would really pop with a cut and buff, it could also use a engine compartment detailing as it is all original. The interior is nice, the front seat has a bit of staining on the fabric but the rear seat is perfect. The door panels are immaculate as well as the dash. The only rust on the car is very slight bubbling towards the tip of the fenders. Floors, quarter panels, rockers tailgate etc is all perfect. The only reason that this car is for sale is because my dream car became available locally. Car is listed locally and the ad will be pulled if sold. I do have a factory 6 post 61/62 gm roof rack, NOS fender ornaments, NOS rear door child safety locks, gm handheld spotlight, NOS Jet Stream air deflectors, and an Og maroon litter basket that sits on the transmission hump that can be worked into some sort of deal if it is something your interested in. I have more photos and video and you are interested shoot me a message. Clear title in my name, located in Spokane Valley, Wa.
