1955 CHRYSLER IMPERIAL NEWPORT TWO DOOR HARDTOP COUPE WITH HEMI V8This is a beautiful Original White 1955 Chrysler Crown Imperial Newport Two Door Hardtop with only 72. 72 Miles. It is equipped with its original 331ci Hemi V8 and Powerflite Transmission that have been serviced. it runs and drives GREAT! This 1955 Crown Imperial Newport Coupe was Super Nice when I purchased it in 2004 and in 2011 I wanted to repaint the car. that became a partial restoration. I had this car professionally and completely disassembled. they repaired the few small dents that were present (see Photos). we removed and detailed the original engine before we painted the car. All parts that could be removed were removed before painting. (See Photos). all interior sheet metal and dash was removed and repainted. The Steering wheel was restored. (See Photos) Lots of work was done. and you really need to see this car in person to appreciate the extra effort that went in to it. We did everything we could to keep it original. Regarding the interior. I once asked Jay Leno what he felt about original leather interiors. he said to me that you can always restore/replace interiors but once there gone. you can never bring back the original leather! That’s why I never replaced the Blue and White Leather Seats. (the back seat is perfect and the front can be freshened up with replacement top leathers covers) The only thing this car needs is refurbished bumpers. I have too much money into it to do any more. I am older now and really can't do the work. This will be the new owner’s job.
